Meet Mike

Mike has been a proud resident of Huntington Beach since 1998, deeply connected to the community both as an avid surfer and as a dedicated public servant. His legal career has been rooted in municipal law, with a focus on housing, reducing homelessness, public safety, and infrastructure—issues central to the well-being of Huntington Beach residents.

 Mike spent nearly 18 years in the Huntington Beach City Attorney’s Office, where he developed a reputation for thoughtful legal analysis, steady judgment, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. In 2023, he was appointed City Attorney for the City of Orange, expanding his experience and leadership in municipal governance.

In February 2025, the Huntington Beach City Council unanimously selected Mike to return home as the city’s new City Attorney.

 Over the past year, he has brought calm, steady leadership to the office, offering clear legal guidance while helping bridge divides and reduce political tension. Mike is known for his approachable style, his commitment to transparency, and his ability to bring people together across the city he proudly calls home.
